Reading: Matthew 4:1-11, Mark 1:9-13, Luke 3:24:4:13
Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the desert, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.
Luke 4:1–2 (NIV84)
Journeying
A great way to journey is to use the S.O.A.P model. S is for the scripture you read. O is for observation. What is God saying or what do you notice in this scripture? Record your observations. A is for application. How will you apply this to your life? And P is for Pray. Take time to communicate with God. You can write out your prayer. You can paint a prayer. Find a way to express your response.
Consider fasting for a meal or even for the day today. Are there temptations that come your way when you are hungry? Do you hear God speaking or do you listen to voices of temptation? Jesus responded to each temptation with a scripture. What is the scripture that you are standing on today? Comment below your response.
