Jesus Baptism

Reading: Matthew 3, Mark 1:1-12, Luke 3:1-23

“As Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven:

“You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”

Journeying

Take a moment and go stand at the water’s edge, by a canal, a lake, or better yet the beach. While on the shore (you can wade in the water if you want), reflect on this story. What would it mean to hear God say: You are my Son, I love you, and I am pleased with you? While at the shore ask God: “What do you think about me?”
