Today’s Journey

If you really want to experience this, you should go to the water's edge and try to walk across the water. I mean that is the only way you can really know how amazing this was. Take a look at this video if you want to see some cool walking on water. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4OJxp3qSGjk

Jesus wasn't being pulled by a boat. Look at verse 48 of Mark 6. It is late at night when Jesus goes walking across the lake and He is going to pass them. He didn't stop until they called out to him. First of all, Jesus is on the move. Second, they are freaked out and think He is a ghost. This is funny.

Matthew tells the story of Peter jumping out of the boat and walking on the water too. It is interesting that Mark doesn't include that in his story. Mark probably got most of his gospel information from Peter. Mark was not one of the 12 disciples. Matthew was one of the 12 and saw this first hand. He is the one that tells the story including Peter.

Ask yourself this question, "What would it take for you to get out of the boat, and take the risk to be a part of the miraculous?" Why did Peter get out, but the others didn't? Is there something that is calling you to get out of the boat?

Reflect on this and write it down. Or take it up a notch, take the risk and jump out into an adventure with the water walker. Whatever that risk, take it. I challenge you to even video it. Even if you fall you can send it into America's Funniest Home Videos.
